V.V Giri National Labour Institute, established in 1974, is a premier institution involved with research, training, education, publication and consultancy on labour and related issues.

The Institute imparts national and international-level training on labour administration, industrial relations, capacity building, child labour, research methods and labour and health.

The Institute collaborates with major international and national organizations, to organize and conduct training and research projects. Notable partnerships are with institutions in South Korea, Italy and Germany.

The Institute’s research provides a knowledge base for policy formulation, highlighting that employment growth, equity and distributive justice are a powerful instrument for achieving the national agenda of inclusive growth.
