Anoop Satpathy
is working as Associate Fellow at the V. V. Giri National
Labour Institute. His areas of professional interest include
informal sector, rural livelihoods, social security and child
labour. He has considerable research and training experience
in labour related issues. During his career at the VVGNLI, he
has successfully carried out research projects on contemporary
issues such as: Composition and Characteristics of Informal
Sector (NLI), Evaluation of National Child Labour Projects
(MOLE) Assessing Social Security Measures and Promoting
Effective Participation of Beneficiaries (UNDP), District
Employment and Labour Market Assessment (ILO-SAAT) and Agency
in Children and Development (IREWOC-PLAN). He has also
coordinated a number of national level capacity building
training programmes on topics such as Leadership Development
and Child Labour. In addition, Shri Satpathy has also
coordinated national level workshops/seminars on areas such
as: Making Labour Administration More Responsive,
Globalisation and Child Work; and Restructuring the
Unorganised Sector. He has published several research papers
and articles in academic journal and co-edited a book on Child
Labour. He has undergone training in the areas of Child
Migration and Trafficking Employment and Labour Market
Policies and Improving Job Quality in Micro-Enterprises in
India conducted by International Training Centre of the ILO at
Turin. He is a life member of Indian Society of Labour
Economics. |
