  Area of work:

 Working with V.V. Giri National Labour Institute as Faculty Member (Associate Fellow) since

    1993, and mainly engaged in the area of research, publication and training, on the various

    issues pertaining to labour in the organised and the unorganised sector.

 Completed Research Studies:

Delay in Industrial Adjudication: A case study of C.G.I.T- cum-Labour Court, Delhi. This study

   focuses on analysing the causes of delay in adjudication of industrial disputes and

   suggesting the ways and means to avoid these delays. 

Organising Rural Labour: A Case of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. This study documents the 

   experiences in the area of organising rural labour for their effective participation in

  development. 

Status of Labour Welfare Measures in the Factories of NOIDA: A Case Study of Garment &

   Hosiery Industry. 

Labour Employment and Social Security Issues in Education Industry: A Case Study of

   Private Schools of NOIDA. 

Assessing the Social Security Measures and Promoting Effective Participation of

   Beneficiaries in Khurja Block of District Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh (An action research

   project). 

Engaged in study on analysis of judicial trend with regard to Protection of the Interest of

    Contract Labour

Published a number of book reviews and articles in various journals and News magazines

    and in edited books on various issues pertaining to labour in edition to publication of

    research papers as part of NLI Research Studies Series. Discharged the responsibility of

    bringing out the news magazine Shram Samachar (Magazine of Ministry of Labour &

    Employment) as its Editor, Editor of Shram Jagat (in house Hindi magazine of V.V. Giri

    National Labour Institute) and Shram Vidhan (journal of Labour Legislation with which    

    continue to be associated. .

Actively engaged in coordinating training programmes in the area of labour administration,

   labour law enforcement and leadership development for the trade union leaders in the

   organised and the unorganised sector and have been taking up frequent sessions in various

   training programme within and outside the institute in the area of Constitution and Labour,

   Wage Legislation, Industrial Relations Law, Contract Labour Law etc. 

Presented papers in national seminars on the themes of labour adjudication in India and

   wage legislation, associated in holding rural labour camps in remote and distant areas

   aimed at empowerment of rural poor.
