 Course on Qualitative Methods in Labour Research

(October 30 – November 6, 2006) 

 

V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, NOIDA is conducting a Course on Qualitative Methods in Labour Research, during October 30 – November 6, 2006 for young teachers and researchers from universities/colleges/ research Institutions and professionals in government organisations. The objectives of the course are to: (a) understand various theoretical perspectives with regard to qualitative research (b) understand and apply various qualitative research methods and techniques for labour research. The course content includes: Theoretical Perspectives, Methods of Qualitative Research, Qualitative Research Techniques, Modes of Analysing and Interpreting Qualitative Data. The methodology of the Course would consist of lectures, discussions, interactive sessions and presentation by participants. No programme fee will be charged and VVGNLI will provide to and fro sleeper class fare and free boarding and lodging to the participants in the Institute’s Campus. International Training Programme on Prevention of HIV/AIDS

(October 9 – 20, 2006)

V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, NOIDA is conducting a International Training Programme on Prevention of HIV/AIDS during October 9–20, 2006 for Labour Administrators (senior and middle), health officials, representatives of academic and training institutions, trade unions, employers’ organisations, NGOs and other officials concerned with health issues at workplace under the ITEC/SCAAP programme in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs. The broad objectives of the programme is to enable the participants to appreciate their role and evolve strategies for wider participation in the effort towards prevention of HIV/AIDS in the world of work.

Course Director: Dr. Ruma Ghosh
