TWO-DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP ON EMERGING LABOUR ISSUES

IN POST-GLOBALISATION ERA

OBJECTIVE

To understand the changes in the economic and labour policies in the light of globalisation, liberalisation and privatisation.
To develop an understanding of the need and process of disinvestment and its implications on employment and employment relations.
To understand the pros and cons of ensuing labour law reforms.
To develop an understanding of the need and component of social security.
To gain clarity on the rationalisation of the workforce and of post VRS scenario.
To explore the ways and means of enhancing productivity.

METHODOLOGY

To programme would be based on lectures and group discussions. Participants would be encouraged to share experiences from their respective organistions to better relate macro understanding with micro level developments

The programme is designed for Industrial Relations/HRD Managers Officers, Supervisors and Trade Union Leaders.

The programme will commence on March 22, 2006 at 10.00 a.m. and will conclude on March 24, 2006 in the afternoon.

PROGRAMME FEE

Rs. 2500/- per non-residential participant

Rs.3500/- per residential participant

Course fee is payable in advance by demand draft drawn in favour of V.V.Giri National Labour Institute, payable at New Delhi. The fee is not refundable once the nomination is accepted. The fee includes programme kit, reading material, lunch & refreshments. For residential participants lodging and boarding will be arranged from the afternoon of 21st March, 2006 till the forenoon of 25th March, 2006.
